Sadly, many heart patients find that the specialist support that could really make a difference to their quality of life and that of their families is not readily available. The BHF Valentine Appeal 2008 (see bhf.org.uk/valentine) aims to raise £1 million to provide vital care and support to more families than ever before. To increase the number of people the BHF can help, they need more BHF heart nurses to provide individualised care and the resources to give practical and emotional support on their Heart Help Line.
